I would add because of your conditions you can ask them for a home medical. You would probably need a letter of support from your GP or other healthcare professional ie CPN if you have one.
With regard to your IB see if your council has a welfare rights officer who maybe able to help.
Best of luck.0 -
You can claim ESA while you appeal your IB.0
-
As NASA says, the OP can claim ESA until the IB appeal is heard, but the OP will also be required to attend the ESA medical. ATOS may consider a home appointment only if the GP states in a letter that the OP cannot attend due to the medical condition.0

Do you get any support from your GP, Psychiatrist, Psychologist,CPN, Support Worker, as it sounds like you need some help?
You really need some evidence to support your claim so I hope you are able to make contact with someone who can help you, do you have any friends or family who could accompany you or at least enable you to use a phone/post a letter.
Ignoring appointments isn't a good idea however ill you are, I know how difficult it can be, but there is no option except for a home visit as already mentioned; unless of course you are exempt from medicals because receiving HDLA Care due to SEVERE MENTAL HEALTH issues. Do you get any DLA or have you tried applying?0 -

Hi im hoping someone can give me some advice please ?
I have been claiming incapacity benefit for several years for chronic depression, agoraphobia, chronic asthma, exthma and anxiety attacks. Last year I was given an appointment for a medical but due to my agoraphobia could'nt keep the appointment. My incapacity benefit was stopped, I appealed against the decision and after 7 months of hell I won the appeal 19 August 2009 and incapacity benefit was repaid. During this time my housing benefit was also stopped & resulted in me being served with an eviction order & massive arrears on my rent. I had to arrange to pay £13.25 a week to avoid eviction after I won my appeal. I also had to live on crisis loans for most of the time due to being told different stories each time I rang, so I also have to pay them back at £15.80 a week.
In December 2009 I received another appointment for a medical, Christmas is already a very bad time for me and the stress and worry of a repeat of the last year sent me into a spiral and unfortunately I did't attend the medical. I was reassured by a friend that it must be a mistake as I had only just won an appeal for exactly the same problem. But on 21 January 2010 my benefit was stopped I have written twice to appeal but it has made no difference but I really do not think that I can cope with it all over again.
Get in touch with the Disability Law Services and the Social Security Commisioners get contact address or number from the internet just google.
Wish you all the best

The OP only needs to contact the Social Security Commisioners if/when they lose thier IB appeal on a point of law.0

Id like to thank you all very much for your advice.
My appeal is ongoing but i have now been told that i cannot have any more crisis loans as i have reached my limit.
Prob due to the 7 months of crisis loans i had last year while waiting outcome of appeal that i eventually won.
Im worried sick because if my last appeal was anything to go by then ive still got approx 5 months left before a decision is made. A possible five months without any money !?0 -
Have you actually read the posts? Have you claimed ESA?Gone ... or have I?0
