hi all,

I have been with o2 since last summer and all has been fine until about 3 months ago. Basically at home trying to make or recieve calls is a nightmare. I get 1/2 bars on the signal and the call constantly goes off. Its so bad that i have to resort to using my bt land line to make calls.
This is a nightmare for me as i am home most days as i am a stay home mum.
I have been in contact with o2- near enough every other day and they said its being looked into. I emailed a formal complaint this week as i am at the end of my tether with it. I have about 12 months left on the contract but i have asked for this to be cancelled.

The annoying thing is when i call o2 the call never goes off and its clear as a bell!

anyone know where i stand? Any advice is much apreciated

I had an issue like this a while ago. Had great reception for the first 7 months and then all of a sudden started to get very poor reception and what they call Network Crossover' This means that i was calling people but being put through other peoples lines and those i called could hear them and not me. People would call me and get the voice mails of other people and other peoples conversations.

A letter to them saying that you are giving them reasonable time to fix the problem or you will revoke the contract under clause 8.4 i think. This clause gives them a chance to put something write, if they don't you can end te agreement.

I would also get on the phone to trading standards too.

Look at the t&c's under 8 at you will see the relevant clause. Quote it in any communication to them, make sure it is written so a letter or email. Get on the phone top trading standards and they will i think quote the sale of services and goods act.
