Vodaphone PAYG problem-phone will not work in France!

Hi-wonder if anyone can advise? G/F has a Vodaphone PAYG-shes set up the overseas 'passport' thingy which means she can use her inclusive minutes when she sees her family in France. When we got the phone last August from Carphone Warehouse it worked fine...since Xmas I can't call her (message says 'call can't be connected or 'not in use') in France & she can't get the phone to work-won't text/phone out at all. She's also tried the 'manual' service provider search.

phoned Vodaphone teccie dept whilst she was away & they said sim was fine & connected to French network & just advised her to pop in a French sim??! (rather defeats the object of the passport freedom pack!)>

Went into carphone Warehouse yesterday & they said to call Vodaphone & ask for a new sim (they refused to help)....it works fine in the UK by the way!

Has anyone any ideas on the best way forward with this?

Although your girlfriend has Passport on her account its most likely her roaming has been cancelled since it has not been used for a while.

She will need to contact Customer Services and ask them to enable roaming on her account.

Could be a server issue. I went to the US (after checking I had roaming setup) and the phone refused to work, I even tried the sin in another handset. When I cot back I had tech support check it out and it was an error in my network profile.
Haven't had a chance to check that the fix works yet as I haven't been out the UK..

Thanks....will check that the roaming is enabled! She goes back though for nearly every School holiday.

Your girlfriend would need to contact Customer Services, you wont be able to do it for her.

Vodafone would be unable to speak to you since you are not the account holder.
