Can anyone confirm or advise where to find out if a site is really secure? On a couple of sites recently, the address bar has shown "https" which I think of as being secure and yet the padlock has had a red line through it which I've assumed to mean isn't secure. I've come away from the sites without ordering etc but if anyone can clear this up or let me know where to go for the info I'd be grateful. cheers

Open the padlock and it will tell you the details, it tells you if the certificate is o.k., validates the server and tells you who issued and when it expired etc.
If you're not happy don't order thats all I can say.0
