Hi all
I'm another one who doesn't celebrate Easter - for the same reasons as Lamewolf (*waves at Lamewolf*).
missed the reason but i don't celebrate either because i celebrate spring equinox instead (pagan)
my heating just broke down so am hoping the heater fixer man thingy (can you tell i don't deal with all that) comes soon because its bleedin freezing.0 -
Greenbee I hope you get the outcome you want - whatever happens at least you did something
Do those courses on teenagers tell you how to deal with stealing and lies from teenage step children without ending up divorced from someone you are actually really rather fond of
?
Not a huge amount done as I am trying to avoid being at home for the above reasons. I have emptied and filled the DW if that counts?
(((((Hugs)))) Hex. I hope things resolve themselves.
So far I have radio silence, but then I only sent the email at midnight last night and given that it took me three days to work out what I needed to say I can't really expect an instant response. The longer it takes the more I'll worry about whether I've done the wrong thing
Congrats Carol (and yes, I understand about the blood donation issues... I've managed to get myself and appointment at work for next week, so only 3 months overdue)
Nice to see you GnB & Mudders... feel free to drop in and check up on us occasionally!
Hopefully I'll be able to leave work in the next hour...:)0 -

Thanks but pity poor DH who is caught between his duty to his 17yo DS who has self confidence issues (which apparently justify his repeated problem behaviours) and me who treats home problems like they are a HR issue. My first H said afterwards he should have listened when he got a final written warning

Perfectly sensible way to deal with it as far as I'm concernedThanks but pity poor DH who is caught between his duty to his 17yo DS who has self confidence issues (which apparently justify his repeated problem behaviours) and me who treats home problems like they are a HR issue. Evening all
I agree that teenagers are dreadful - had a huge row with DD (17) in the car today. I am currently off work sick but agreed to take DD into town and collect her after she had met her friends for lunch as the buses would not conincide with the times. I also said that I would take her to nearby village to sort out a bank account as we have been tryng to do this for ages. I waited 20 mins for her to turn up and also had 2 more nose bleeds while she was out so didn't want to go to building society as they can restart without warning. She threw a complete hissy fit, shouting and creating all the was home. She then took her self to bed and is still asleep - complete lack of empathy and bang out of order.
Have some jobs from the lists but not as many as i would like as I feel a bit drained. Still have got a blood test tomorrow but feel that it may show that I am a little aneamic (7 episodes of nose bleeds in 24 hours - oops)
Will up date list later as want to do a bit more.

But on a very (!) good note, I've been offered an internship in Paris!!!! :j:D:j:D:j
It's not confirmed yet but they've reserved me a place, so I am super duper excited, I've sorted my German placement in Frankfurt, just waiting for them to send the forms, so woohoo!
Great news on the jobs - it should be a wonderful experience!
I really wish I had had the opportunity to work abroad but too old now!:o
