    :bdaycake:Happy birthday ME!!:bdaycake:

sandy - gibble: the general clutter that breeds and spreads around every flat surface! You'll very quickly learn to be fluent in pigpenish!!

grateful - that was a fab explanation!!

I'm finally feeling a bit more spring like, so popped into my favourite garden centre, and have two lots of potatoes for later this month, and also three bright red primulas which I potted up at once, and stood in front of the patio doors! DS1 fancied some cress for some reason, so he sowed that in a tub on the windowsill.

:hello:Hi to all my flylady friends!!
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

  • Hello

Toots I havent managed any flying today as I went to a salsa/keep fit class after work (which wasnt that good) and then had a very long talk with a good friend of mine about various things. One of those talks that makes you all reflective - but in a good way!

I am now starving and have texted OH to bring me food on his way home. I'll probably suffer for it but I need junk and I need it now!!

Pigpen - I'd have slaughtered your son!!!!!
LL - loved the spoon explanation and have bookmarked it. I have a colleague with Lupus and I think she would love the spoon explanation for her friends.

anyway gonna wait for my food yum yum yum and see you all tomorrow!

    take care

    1 step xxxx
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p

Not done very much today. Neighbour came over and implored me to encourage boys not to play football as the ball occasionally strikes her husbands car and he is getting narky. I pointed out it's world cup this year and there would be the whole road playing football on the green once all the kids submit to football fever. I also suggested they cleared out their garage and put the new car in it if they are that worried about it. We laughed about precious men and their beloved motors. Then she warned me about her neighbour who keeps knocking on her door with the shakes asking for wine and told me that when she refuses that she's jumping in her car and driving whilst well over the limit:eek:. It puts a totally different light on the kids football on the green as they spill into the road on a regular basis. Most people know the kids are about and take great care but a drunk driver is a worry we can do without.

Not much flying done by me so far this week, although the DW has now dealt with the backlog (just needs unloading) and I've got some washing done and about 2 items ironed...

Heating and hot water are now working, so I have defrosted. My dad cut down a leylandii hedge and dug out a whole lot of flints holding up part of the garden terracing which is going to be dug out. My neighbour may have the flints to make a rockery - if not I'll freegle them. I posted on freecycle to say I'd have 10 cu metres of topsoil going over the next week or so, and someone has asked me to confirm it doesn't have stones in it :o obviously I don't look after my topsoil enough. It's full of them...

Went to reflexology this evening. The results of the reunion are apparently evident in my feet! It was a lovely evening, but gave me a lot of thinking to do and the emotional consequences are just starting to work their way through. I cut the ties with a huge group of people about 10 years ago in order to deal with some issues, and it resulted in me disappearing from the lives of some people who weren't part of the problem. When I walked into the room on Saturday it became clear that this was a very selfish thing to do and it didn't just affect me. One person at least was completely shellshocked by my unexpected reappearance. I think I owe them an apology for walking out of their life (this person was a close friend, never more to it, but I think that may well have been down to timing and circumstances ... and me being 25 and self-absorbed...) and possibly one for walking back in again. Before anyone says anything, absolutely nothing innappropriate happened, but I'm not sure what the repercussions of me reappearing are going to to be and whether apologising for disappearing will make it better or worse. It's going to take me a while to deal with this and leaving it and hoping it'll go away definitely won't work.

In the meantime, as I met up with an ex who is now happily married and living not far from here, I intend to tell him its his duty to introduce me to all his eligible friends!

Have caught up on Fred - thought of lots of things to say, and now can hardly remember any of them. Absolutely hopeless, and a streaming cold is the only excuse I can come up with.

Lamewolf, thank from me too for the spoons theory. I dont have lupus, but I do have limited energy. I forwarded it to my DH and he finally understands what I am talking about. I admire you for the way you face your days, and through reading this, it also gives us an insight into what your day is like for you, and when you say that you couldnt do something, we know that you are rationing your spoons!

Ishtar, I can completely understand your mum and her will - when I was in the night before my op I stayed up all night writing out letters to all my nearest and dearest, detailed instructions for my DH about my sons routines and planned my funeral. I even wrote a letter to the vicar to be read out from me. I think its cos I am a control freak, and I couldnt bear to go without the last word, and organising everything. I got no sleep that night because of this. I love your mums comment that she has always wanted to travel! She sounds lovely. I hope she gets the pre-op sorted soon and gets her op date sorted. Huge hugs from me.

Greenbee, I love your bid for eligible males, great thinking! I understand cutting people out of your life, and reflexology is great for helping you face your emotions and dealing with it. Hope it goes well.

Toots, well done to your niece and good luck to the littley for tomorrow

Mumto5, that is really worrying about the drunk driver - how awful that she is regularly putting everyone at risk by driving in this condition. I love that you suggested your neighbour cleaned out the garage and put the car away, I hope you know her well!

Well I may actually do some flying tomorrow - must find the lists - I have some time between school drop off and collecting for a basketball tournament, littley (7) is representing the school for the first time ever! He is really excited. I must make sure I dont do too much so that I am safe to drive him - I borrowed some of tomorrows 'spoons' to get through today (MIL - need I say more!)

Off to find the lists ............

Well I have managed to delete a few things - I have cleaned the hob and oven this week so thats off. But it still leaves rather a lot ...

Bed is still being made up every night in the front room, master bedroom is a pit and havent put away any clothes in a week! So no stars likely, but there is quite a lot I can do to keep up with the pigsty!

Back tomorrow for some HHCs, I think!

    Sleep well - lilo
