  • Evening all

I just wanted to say thankyou for all of the birthday wishes - it really made me feel better. :D 2 of the girls from work came over and brought me a birthday card and a huge bunch of flowers to say get well soon. They are stunning and as I normally don't get any flowers I was so touched. They look great on my newly cleared dining table but I was gutted that I couldn't ask them in for a coffee as the rest of the house is not yet cleared and I felt so embarassed about the messy house as I know that they both have wonderful homes.

DS also phoned and he suggested that he takes me out for a meal for Birthday and Mother's Day when he gets back from Uni later in the month. We may try new Italian that is opening soon in town.

Flying wise - well - um- not a lot done here - oops!! :o

I did almost clear the sofa of clean clothes, just a few more to go and I did find my mobile - yeah! (its been lost for over a week). I have taken all the clothes up stairs and laid them on my bed but I will put them away before I go to bed. I was going to do it the afternoon but have had 5 nose bleeds since 5pm :eek:. It pours like a tap and drips every where as I get no warning that it is going to bleed - sorry too much information.

Thanks for sending the sunshine as although we did have a tiny bit of fine rain we also had some sunshine - a real novellety on my birthday....

Hope you have all had productive days and I promise I will be better at this tomorrow.

Well I've just sent an email that may or may not change my life... an apology for being a crap friend. I'm hoping that we can get our friendship back on track and if that's all I get that's all I get. What's really knocked me for six is the realisation that someone I took for granted, looked after me, kept me out of trouble is probably the person I've wanted all along. But he's much older than me, so at 25 it didn't even cross my mind and I actually distanced myself at one point (without explanation, naturally!) because people starting making comments about how close we were when it was all totally innocent. I think I've probably missed my chance with this person, but at least I now know with complete clarity the kind of person I want to be with.

I guess I'd better get myself organised for the morning as I'm going to the gym then the office, so have my gym bag and my breakfast and lunch to pack!

Well done Greenbee - you can only try. And it least it has clarified your thoughts! I dont think we really appreciate our twenties until we are older - we need the benefit of our experience to enjoy it iyswim!

    ishtar your mum sounds wonderful.

Hugs to anyone else I have missed. Have just seen the time so I had better get to bed and stop staring admiringly at my clothes horse which is full of all the ironing I have done and take my empty(for now) ironing basket upstairs. Is it normal to get excited about putting your washing outside on a new line?:rotfl:Think I am losing it big time!

too right! and we have so much going for us then... energy, great skin, better figures than we realise and no gravity... but I just wasn't able to deal with some of the stuff and now realise that I hurt the people who cared about me (don't we always) and didn't appreciate them. I also realise that a couple of incidents that I didn't take seriously or really think much about were older people putting their cards on the table - and I was completely oblivious. I simply wasn't old enough or grown up enough to understand, and I wasn't ready for it. My loss though. They were nice people... much nicer than the ones I spent the rest of my twenties with...

It wasn't the reflexology... it's just that the reflexologist made me realise I had to do something about it and not hang on to it all. I'm not sure it'll bring me much peace as I have to work this thing through, and like all women, will over-analyse for weeks!

Food sorted... now... what to wear for one of my rare visits to the office....
