Was having a jolly nice day until I discovered that the freezer bit of fridge/freezer seems to have packed up. It was beeping last night but I just assumed the door had been left open, so I made sure it was closed and toddled off to bed.

I've just done a mammoth shop at Asda, went to put a load of stuff in the freezer and its defrosted EVERYTHING in it :mad::mad::mad::mad:
Had veggie sausages, veggie burgers, fishfingers, loads and loads of quorn pieces, mince, fillets, two lots of pizza dough.
I will cook up all the quorn, sausages, veg into various things. Shepherds pie, lasagne, bolognaise, sausage caserole, quorn paprika, curry, quorn chasseur,
There were some prawns too but Im not risking those so they will be binned.
Oh bum there were veggie meatballs too so I better cook those up with some sauce and refreeze.

Any suggestions for the fish fingers or veggie burgers ?

If I cook the pizza dough into pizza with cheese etc can you then freeze that and recook ?

Sorry to hear about your freezer and all the food that needs to be cooked.

I would cook the pizza dough with topings on and refreeze. That is how it is done in factories. The only thing I can think of for the veggie burgers and fish fingers is to cook them and eat tomorrow! I hope you don't have too many!

:hello: Hello can i join please....I so need some organisation and motivation for housework. I feel as if I do the same thing everyday just to keep it looking marginally better than a bombsite and never get to an unending list of other things that I want to do.I'm on mat leave at the moment and so feel if I cant crack it now it will never happen and the four of us will be destined to live in chaos

    Hi all :)
Just wanted to say sorry for my delay but thank you to the lovely 3 who help us every week :)
Well Monday's are always blinkin tiring for me - got home from work after popping to other college campus to drop DS's course application off,(was told while I was there that actually they will be sending it to the college I work at and had just travelled from and they know I work there, ggrrrr), but anyway got home, popped to library, fed animals, fed family,(homemade pasties :) ) and fell asleep while me and DS2 had a cwtch :) Woke up, put washing on and now drying towels. Have tidied 2 living rooms and cleaned window sills :) Also have done one lot of dishes earlier but now my worktop has grown another pile but I have run out of washing up liquid :( (Going to have a quick look on the net for a natural alternative - I'm sure I've read somewhere that you can use lemon juice)?
Going to use up last of corn beef mix and make some more pasties for work for me, DH and our 2 DS's for school :)
Then need to get catalogues ready before I go back to sleep!
    Better crack on!
    Nighty nite all, nos da,
    Jen x
Everything happens for a reason :)
