Always worth a look! It was in March, but my holiday cost £125 including flights and self catering hotel.... saying that, last time I was looking for a cheap holiday we ended up going to the Caribbean for 2 weeks all inclusive. So maybe dont listen to me!:p

Ohhhh, don't tempt me! I think we should probably save a holiday like that for when we are both debt free. :) His DFD is fast approaching (September) and he's getting itchy feet. Suddenly developed the desire to pay off the loan early! I doubt he will though as he also just ordered some more robot part thingymabob's! lol. And they don't come cheap!

But, apparantly, he has money set aside for the new wardrobes. Which is just as well as I want to order them tonight, after this morning's tantrum about 'not being able to find anything is this stupid ffing wardrobe!'! lol. It has nothing to do with the fact that a) he rarely puts his dirty clothes in the washing basket unless he's reminded or b) that he didn't do ANY clothes washing whilst I was away this weekend! He is funny! :rotfl::rotfl:

Although, I'm not sure why it winds him up sooooooo much in the first place. If I can't find something, I choose something else and on I go. It can be annoying but it doesn't p'ss me off as such.

    I'm waffling on, sorry.

I've done it! I've done it! I've done it!

I'm on the right path at long last!

I have done what I said to myself ages ago and set it up at lastPAD of £50 to H*B* G*LD CC today

The first over payment I have ever made - I have got the grasp of internet banking at last and set the payment up.

Making it an unbelievable £50 for me today, OMG!!! It's a good job I'm sitting down, I think I need a cup of tea and a creme egg to celebrate!

I know how well most of you have done, and it has finally sunk in with me, small pot savings ongoing weekly and now on with a PAD to the CC

Next step is small PADs I can afford to the other cards and start getting the balances down, slowly and gradually it may be but it is better than nothing (how it has been for years :o)
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

    Hi everyone

Another pad for me of just 7p, clearing out my purse of change. Payday tomorrow :) and I'm going into town to put all my loose change into the HSBC machine so that I can pad it properly. May have to nick a couple of quid out of it for car parking though, I hate car parks where you have to pay before you go in as I never have any change because I pad it all! :rotfl:

I also need to buy some wellies as mine broke on Sunday when we went for a walk. Halfway through a very muddy field I felt seepage - and yes, the sole has come off the bottom. Wierdly enough I have no idea where to buy any from - those ones used to be my mums! Reckon Primark will have any in? I can only afford cheapies...:o

Have decided I'm going to try and challenge myself to live off £15 a week this month. It shouldn't be too difficult as I've got everything I need - but I seem to have lost sight of frugalness the past couple of months, spends have crept up and unnecessary takeaways and things have sneaked their way in again. So it's back to basics!

    xx
