Hi everyone, I'm back from a busy week and weekend, such a shame to come back to such awful news about DT's granddaughter. My friend's nephew is 10 months old and has just had to have a liver transplant, it was touch and go for a while so they even got special dispensation for him to come back from afghan just in case. Horrible that things like that happen to such little people :(

Pad for me today 172.37, I'll update my signature at some point this week when I get a chance. Thanks Mary x
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

Do you guys think that we could get a bunch of flowers or something to DT and her family? Maybe if we somehow had a little collection, we could pass the money to Shaun who'd be able to organise the flowers as he knows her address? Maybe we could paypal a couple of pounds each to Shaun and raise enough?

I genuinely feel really upset for them all...maybe a token bunch of flowers will let them all know that we're thinking of them?

A great idea Mary, I'm sure there are a lot of us that would donate a couple of quid...

I don't mind gathering up all the donations into my paypal account then passing it all onto Shaun, that way he will only be getting one amount. We could get flowers and there might be enough left over to give them as a little help towards the cost of the funeral.

It's sad that they have to arrange a funeral for someone so tiny, the heartbreak of losing her will be bad enough so surely even the smallest amount will help them in some way?

O.k so I've just been chatting with Shaun.

He was a little unsure at first but thinks it's a good idea so if you'd like to contribute, let me know.

it's so hard to know what to do, there is nothing we can do that is of any use. I'm happy to send some money Mary, it won't be much though. I've been thinking about it all day and it's just so awful. Maybe if we send shaun the money, he can send the flowers when the time is 'right'? I say right, there will never be a right time but I'm sure you know what I mean xx
