A £13.00 pad for me today please ee. Thanks.

I normally vote green with second vote to Lib Dem. The Lib Dem candidate has the stronger track record on green issues compared with Labour and Conservative so the Lib Dems got my single vote this time round.

    Evening Padders!!

    I love a good political debate :D

I'm going to stick up for Brown...we have to remember who was in power before him...he was, unfortunately, held up by strings for quite some time by Mr Blair because he knew he was going to be the PM. He danced to the tune he felt he had to then was left with a mess to clear up...Blair walked away with 'dignity'...Brown was then left humiliated.

Although, I'm completely against SNP sucking up to Labour now...that Salmond should hang his head in shame, !!!!!hole!!

Oh, incidently...I know Danny Alexander's home address if any of you want it?!! :rotfl:

Anyway...my pad for today is another £4.00 please EE!! I'm going to have to update my sig soon, it's been a while!!

Hope you've all had a fab day! x

    Hi all!

Well we had a great (if rather expensive ) time at Alton Towers - shame it was finished off with a loss at the football this afternoon :( need a good win on wednesday to get to Wembley now so could anybody who doesn't have a team please root for the LCFC on wednesday night! :p

Politics? I went yellow this time for local reasons (figured I had better have someone decent sorting things out locally) It was my first general election and I must admit to feeling really disappointed on Friday morning when I woke up to a hung parliament!

I can't say I like any of the options particularly though. Cameron seems insincere, Clegg seems a bit too idealistic and Gordon Brown has had his chance, didn't manage things particularly well that time so I think it's only fair to give somebody (anybody!) a fresh start to look at the country with fresh eyes.
One thing I must admit to not understanding is all the hate for the torys? From what I've seen of their policies they seem to have some common sense, particularly surrounding the benefits culture and how to try and tackle it. (Don't like the idea of teacher redundancies though :rotfl:) It always seems to me that people have a real hatred for anyone they deem 'posh' and I just don't get it myself.

Oh and another thing while I'm on the subject that I don't understand, maybe the padders can tell me how this works... How come Scotland and Wales have their own parliaments, but their votes are taken into account in the elections like the one just gone? I saw somewhere that it would have been an overwhelming Tory majority in England had the Scots/Welsh votes not been counted (not great but at least a decision) and was wondering why the votes count if those countries have their own parliaments anyway? Come on you Scots, tell me how it all works I don;t geddit! :o

Woah long post - and I don't even have a pad to post! (sorry) I will resume tomorrow when I know what the bank accounts look like!

    xx
