Sashy - hope everything goes ok for you today good luck
Paul your mortgage co doesn't sound too bad, unlike mine, who are supposed to follow the libor rate and now that its so low they don't!!! I'm with the one account - big mistake I made there getting that but nothing I can do about it now. Once my debt is all gone the mortgage will be my next hurdle to pay off.
pad today is £2 cap1
All that talk about pregnancy yesterday _pale_lol glad I've had all mine!
Nicky - 2 and a half hours?!!?!? hmmm lucky cow :rotfl::p mine were all 7 hours, which I didn't think was too bad as some of my friends were 24+ hours before their babies made an entrance!
I'm not doing it again either. I tried it once but got my head stuck.
As for the mortgage, it sounds like you are with a company that allowed themself a get out clause if exceptional circumstances arose. I haven't looked at the fine print on my deal but if there is such a clause, they haven't yet implemented it. 3 monthly LIBOR was around 0.65% on the last working day of February. That dictates the rate I pay on 1st April, 1st May, and 1st June (it's charged from 1st March but obviously there wouldn't be enough time to reset it). It does guarantee the lender a margin because presumably they borrow at the quarterly LIBOR rate and tack 2% on before they charge me.
When you are able to, maybe look around for a better mortgage and tell your current lender why your leaving. If you are in a tied-in period, maybe discuss the fact that as they have upped the rate due to exceptional circumstances, then you can walk away without penalty if you can get a better deal. I don't know the legality of it but it may be worth looking at.0 -
Hi All
I have been Missing In Action - struggling with health issues and depression relating to that, but a little sunshine over the last few days has brought me back to somewhere near "normal".
My PAD for today is £1726.71
We have received confirmation of a bonus from work - so hope to pay some more off next pay day - but have various needs in the house so may just use cashback card and pay it straight off.
Shed is falling to bits - even the mice have moved out
We needed this last year - but made do
DS needs a new bed - but needs to sort his room before we are even going there - perhaps blackmail will work
PC is on its last legs - 10 yeers old so not done bad - regular defrags, disk clean ups have helped. Need to do some research - laptop or desktop?
Hope you are all well.
Sepak again soon
Gilly
Sounds like the PC issue is just hard drive though. Maybe back-up files onto external drive and re-format the current one? Or even get a new drive for usage and use current one for back-up? Or is it that the other older hardware is just not coping with the requirements of today's software. If most needs upgrading then you probably ought to have another PC as you say. Could still use the current one for back-ups though.0 -
Sorry the baby talk has made you broody angelic, I am so glad that I'm now too old. I never once felt my baby kick in the entire nine months!
My ex OH was in the RAF at Kinloss (?) so was never going to be at the hospital. I went into labour in the early hours of a Friday morning, couldn't ring him as he was in barracks, rang him once DS was born, he then found out he couldn't get leave that weekend so went on a bender, got put on a charge and didn't see his son for another 4 weeks. He came home on a weekend pass, so couldn't go with me to the registry office, the next time I saw him was when he moved his stuff out. The next I heard from him was when some men with baseball bats arrived at the door wanting back the £10k he had lost gambling.:eek:And then I found out he had taken out over £7k in loans in my name ( this was in the days before fancy systems, you just filled the form in and they sent you the cheque)
Those were the days :rotfl:Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Thanks all - it was ok as didn't have to do my actual job (being on the phones) and probably won't be doing that until Monday. So working 3 hours tomorrow and 4 hrs on Friday, going over anything that's changed and sitting in with other members of my team.
Will have to see how it goes once I'm back doing my actual job and normal hours.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -

Kinloss is lovely part of the country. It's right next to Lossiemouth where, funnily enough..there's another RAF base! It's kind of in the middle of no-where(ish) and you can get an awesome view of the planes and stuff from the road.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
