Well, having finally got my head around the 'state lottery' here, I have signed myself up for a monthly ticket.
They do one draw per month, with an extra one in April for Queen's Day and another on New Year's Eve.
It's €15 per ticket, but the amount of chances to win are far higher than in the UK. ie, one number on it's own will win you a small amount and there are a lot of different winning combinations (with letters as well as numbers!).
Anyway, I know it's not very MSE, but having spoken to a few friends, they usually win something and quite often break even, so we'll see. I can always cancel if it doesn't seem worth it.
Oh, and the winnings are paid directly into your bank account! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0
