It all depends on how low and dirty you want to play it, and how much money you want to spend on the problem.
So you pay your money, and it may jam the speed detection gun. But why bother with speed. Instead Just prosecute someone for driving w/out due care. Detain them for 20 minutes while you check the car over, write out a ticket to produce documents, check VIN numbers, do a breath test... there are all sorts of ways to hastle a motorist......NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
The police can stop me as much as they like, because that relies on them actually physically checking things, rather than relying on the mechanised yellow and grey eyesores littering the footpaths to do it for them.
Besides, if the police stopped my vehicle on a regular basis, it can only be a good thing because one day it may not be me driving it.
Just imagine if they did check every vehicle on the road, there would be no car crime, and you could buy a radar dector with the money you saved on your insurance!.
I've also noticed a novel way of controlling speed in many town centres which doesn't require the need for speed cameras, and that is done by allowing the road surface to wear to a point where it becomes full of pot holes and raised manholes. Seems to be a very effective campaign!0
