I understand that using the starred* links helps get the site funding but I have a question:
I regularly visit sites which I have originally found in MSE (for updated info) but if I revisit them
using the MSE starred* link again, will MSE get a bit more ?

No, assuming the link is original which I very much doubt if its posted on another web site, usually the site owners attach there own link so they may get paid0

What I mean is, if I follow the link again from the MSE site (as opposed to using a direct link from, say, a browser bookmark) . Would that help with MSE funding ?

Good question. I've never understood these specifics. It took me couple of years to figure out what affiliate link meant leave alone the details, but then I could be a minority in this respect. My husband has stuck some of them in his favorites and I use those. I've no clue though if I'm using the MSE route.0

It'll vary on the type of affiliate link involved.
As the site funding article states, some sites pay per click, some per user, some per application, some per accepted application or any combination.

Should have thought to go that page myself, really. Just the job.
Thanks Premier.
