Nanna to be honest, quo were a bit of a disappointment, but the atmosphere and the night was brilliant, maybe Im getting too long in the tooth. No bandana and no leathers tho, plenty of voice and lots of people enjoying the festival . Dont know when I'll get to next live gig so I enjoy it while I can. I think the headache was from noise, not falling down water:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Good Morning. Looks like another hot one again. Elsie, great news about son and UEs.
Mrs i- shame that quo weren't up to expectations - but they are getting on a bit. :) they still make me feel happy and upbeat whenever I hear them on radio though. Saw rod stewart a couple of years ago and he had to keep going off stage for a breather! Quite different from when I saw him 30 years ago. know i'm old when ds goes off to glastonbury for few days and I can't imagine anything worse - smelly toilets, bad food etc. Oh to be young and not care about any of these things:)
    Have a good day

    Good morning everyone,

Whew its a lot cooler this morning, we had some very welcome rain during the night and its made it a lot better this morning.

Its a day off for me, so its a quick flick around with the duster, followed by a run around with the hoover, and that's job done.!!

Rod Stewart.....my favourite.....Status Quo...brill......all this talk makes me want to turn back the clock about 30 years.......if only we could. I would be younger, slimmer, financially better off.....well not in debt.!! I could do with a time machine....Nanna can your OH knock us one up...he's a builder.!

Anyway, I'm in need of breakfast and coffee, but will be popping in during the day.

    Have a good one ladies.

morning still raining here, but cooler which is welcome. Elsie, I too need to whiz round and stuff. I said this to dd when she came to collect dgs for school. Her reply? 'My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance' Don't know if I'm more :eek:or:rotfl: at that.
Yes, a time machine would be a great thing, even if I couldnt use it to get next weeks lottery numbers from it.:o
My online banking has died. Is it tired of leading an empty life? Red might not be the only colour, but it is the one my bank statement favours:( Off to raise the caffiene levels back thru the day I hope. Everyone have a good un thats the rule today.;)

    Morning All

Really poured last night so much fresher this morning, we just cut all the grass on Sunday and its got two tigers already lurking.

Glad son is OK Elsie, remember my water!!!

Great news about the UEs, you are giving me hope, still trying to talk OH down from his honorable horse, getting there, but slowly. Must say felt a bit depressed about the figures when looked at the CCCS statement and looked at how far we've still got to go, seems endless.

Saw Status Quo when I was about 19, bouncer nearly broke my shoulder cos band were telling everyone to stand on the seats and the bouncers took against that!!!!
ahh to be young and not care about the hell that would be an outdoor festival, I would need one of those huge motorhomes like the guy's in Meet the Fockers, all mod cons and someone to drive it so I could have a wee aperatif!
