Not posted on this thread before but I am sure we qualify I am over 40 and DH almost fifty so hope we can join you:D

Wrote to all five of our creditors a couple of weeks ago and the replies have started this week. Halifax seem to have accepted the amount offered but a very benign letter not really confirming anything and not mentioning interest. Today had a letter from HSBC CC. They are our main creditor with a CC, Loan and overdraft. They have not accepted the amount offered but suggested a higher amount (almost double but still reduced) and will not stop any interest. They have also stated we must pay by 21st May. Our offer was to start 26th June to give us a months breathing space. They state if we don't comply the offer of reduced payment is withdrawn and they will make steps to recover full amount. Bit scared:eek: (We are on a self administered DMP)
    What do we do now!!
Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.

Hello Julie, wecome aboard, If you havent got it , they cant get it, they keep asking, they just dont get it. Nannas right dont let them badger you,
Got dgs tonight, theres a big hole in his bedroom wall where the plumber has been, so he may be a bit nervous tonight, might have to climb into grandmas bed. Oh dear never mind. (I love it really)
Ah well, need to sweep floors and wash them to get plumbers dust off, then bath and bed with a large cocoa.

    Hi Julie

Just remember, they cannot have what you havn't got.!! Personally, I would send them a token payment this month (all your creditors) even £1 each will do. And even if they say they will not accept £x, still keep sending it. Do not increase if you really can't afford it. If you do that, they will expect it every month.
