    Nanna, just ignore them, they drive me mad when its India cos they just don't get a Scottish accent, and I have to repeat everything four times, not great customer service.

    Relax and chill, or answer, make sure you know its them and put the phone down in the kitchen then chill on the sofa for an hour or two, their phone bill.............
    :rotfl::rotfl:

    I heard of someone who answered the phone said she would fetch the person they asked for put the phone by the tv and watched emmerdale:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning All

    Sun shining but its cold, brrrr. off to work to-day and I'm going to an area where there are a lot of bargain shops so will stock up on some essentials at good prices. Nothing else much happening, have we got a government yet??? Do you think we should volunteer?? We'd be better that's for sure.......

    I have recently posted about my own DMP and the fact that we don't have very long before we retire to pay it back. Therefore, it brings with it, its own set of problems. Planning Ahead suggested that there should be a thread dedicated to older DFW's so here we go. You don't have to be on a DMP, just hell bent on busting the debt. If anyone would like to join this thread we can all perhaps give each other encouragement along the way.

    1. How long have you got to go on your DMP, or before you are debt-free?

    2. How long have you got until you retire.?

    3..What do you plan to do when you retire?

    My OH and I have 5 years until we retire, we are almost 60 now and we have around 23/29 months to go on our DMP, which means that we will only have about 2 1/2 years to do some frantic saving for our retirement, assuming that we finish work completely.

    We started off owing £74k, that was 2 years ago, and since then we have paid back £40k, we have a little bit of savings which we are also trying to add to, and at the same time pay our debts off and also have a life. It's difficult knowing that our time is limited for earning a decent salary, but we still have to live.

    So come on all you oldies, and lets show these "young 'un's" that there is life after our late forties, fifties and sixties.:T:T

    HI guys I am in for the long term- rapidly approaching age 52 and not much chance of pumping up my pension pot now!!!

    I am one yr into my DMP and expect to be debt free after 10 yrs- hopefully sooner if I can earn some extra money.

    I've not posted much on this site for ages but find every now and again I get demoralised by how long this will take-and now petrol prices are up again, managing on my budget is harder!

    So I'd welcome chats on here with other older long haulers-ttfn
    now debt free and determined to maintain good spending habits and build savings

    Morning Cheesedoffwithit

    You are very welcome, we're all getting on a bit and still up to our necks, so trying hard to get rid, one way or another. Elsie will be along later to give you a number and then you are good to go. Feel free to join in, we talk a lot of nonsense, support each other through the bad days and even do a bit of virtual poledancing and drinking. Take care
