that is the index you need to quote to order the certificate.

On Free BMD....go into marriages....put names in, and date, click on district which is
Dudley before 1912. and search. It then brings up 4 people.....i.e 2 marriages.....so to check that Homer married Hooper, I then check on the 1881 census, and they are there married with Emmanuel, son age 3 and David son age 1.

I'll get the other names for you in a sec....is that clear to understand.?

Don't order any certificates, unless you really want to see them, I can possible find the next generation without spending money?. Let me know if you want me to try. The only info you get on thm is, bride/groom/ages, and their occupations, and their parents. We can find that out through the census records.
