Afternoon, its freezing here or else I'm coming down with something nasty. What tooth where, put oil of cloves on it, that usually works. After finding my gf and my ggf, I've kind of stopped but will budget for some searches next month and see what pops up, for someone who always thought she had no realatives, they appear to be sprouting all over the place, mainly where I didn't think of looking.

Just checked & no, there doesn't seem to be a estimated date on it. It was direct from the GRO - 11th April when they took the cash:mad:

Its absolutely beautiful here in Yorkshire....sunny and quite warm.

I found that when I was doing our family tree, from being quite a small family I found me relatives were having 7, 8 9 children, so we are/were quite a large family. Its so much easier to check in Scotland, we have to pay £7 every time we want a marriage certificate to enable us to get parents names. Where as you can view the register online.!

I would give them a ring, with your reference number, usually is gives a dispatch date when you order. It may have been lost, but if I recall the last time I ordered something it should have gone out on the Friday and didn't get posted until the Tuesday, so it was about 5 days late.....Not good when you are itching to continue.

Just checked again, 2 certs have cost me £18.50 & est despatch date was 16th April :mad::mad::mad:

Why did they cost you that much....you knew the vol and page, 'cos I sent them to you, that should have been £14........ Give 'em a ring

Read the front page on the GRO website.....5 -10 days delay on all certificates.!!!

Great, you can bet your bottom dollar that mine will be the 10-day delay!! And I do beleive the charges have been hiked since April 1 - you know, a worse service for more money :eek:
