Afternoon all
Happy Birthday Red Ruby.
Got my Sky sorted out today after the neighbours broke it! We got it done by a friends, aunts 3rd son's cousin, it was only £20, good job as the neighbours are adamant it wasn't their phone line bracket & made it quite clear they don't intend to pay, I was quoted £158 to have it done officially.
Roast pork will be served at 4ish, we had poached eggs for lunch, I've swept & swished & now need to get on with my hens, they are selling quicker than I can make them, woohoo.
Have a good day every one.
Hugs Hester

Redruby- hope you have a great day.
Well DH has been out all morning, first helping my DB get some stuff for revamping his lounge, and after that looking at a job,not back yet.We were hoping to go out for a nice country walk as its a glorious day, have to see what time he gets back.Yesterday we talked about including a pub lunch too, which would be good as I wouldnt have to cook later.
Had a good night out last night, busy night with lots of people we knew,as it was the bands last show. The bar chucked everyone out at 12,we went home in a taxi, and DSons went off to night clubs with their friends, both arrived back around 6 this morning-makes me tired just thinking about it
Finished my crocheted from old T-shrts bathmat, its a bit small, but looks ok,so back to my blanket now I've had a change. One lot of wool has arrived from Ebay, still waiting for the rest.
Think I'll read my book for a bit,or browse on here, till DH is back-tis a day of rest after all.Enjoy your Sunday x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Happy Birthday - Enjoy doing nothing!
Good afternoon everyone.
Didn't get on at all yesterday as I was busy out and about with my Mum & DS3. We went to see Percy Jacson & the Lightening Thief - it was brilliant and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. After my busy week it was nice to sit down in the cinema :rotfl:
Today's plans are to do the ironing
and tidy & hoover round. DH will help with that bit so probably just ironing for me.
Lunch is nearly ready to eat at 1pm - roast chicken plus the usual trimmings. Tea will be cheese & crackers or sandwiches and fruit salad.
Have a good day everyone & hugs of you need one xxx0 -
I'm feeling rather lazy at moment! I'm siting here watching a local half marathon run past my flat!! :rotfl: They look like they are having fun, I've cheered a few on from the balcony.
Off to make nachos for lunch now!

Great idea RosyRed a crochet bath mat, I have a carrier bag full of hubby's old tea shirts & I've been wondering what to do with them.

Hi everyone,
Happy birthday Redruby.
It's a lovely day here but i'm struggling with a cold so I'm haveing to do things in fits and starts. I've managed to clean the kitchen and french windows outside though. Mount Washmors is three quarters scaled and the beef and ale casserole is in the SC.
DH is sanding the walls in the little bedroom before painting. I wanted him toput lining paper on so that the whole house wouldn't get covered in dust. Instead he's put up 3 layers of plastic over the door and is enerting and exiting a la Dexter. Thankfully it seems to be working and the dust is being contained.
I need to do a bit of work work IYSWIM and then I'll put the pigeons in the slow cooker to casserole, they will do me 5 meals as I'm the only one that likes them, yum.
I also want to make some cherry scones and a plum crumble later.
Have a lovely day everyone.0 -
Cooo eeee - long time no see - not doing much OS at the mo so hence not been on for quite a while but always read, nice to keep up with you all

Just popped on re the bathmat. It reminded me that many years ago my mum (who was a great knitter, all I could manage was a crooked scarf!!) knitted a few small mats from old tights and they came out quite well, and were quite springy underfoot.
That's my reminiscing done, have a great day all xxxx0 -

I will occupy myself with a big pile of ironing instead
