21 again!
Good morning to everyone,
the forums in general were pretty quiet yesterday, Donnygal, I was in and out most of the day and there weren't as many posts as usual. Everyone must have been enjoying the weekend sales and sun!
No OS this morning, except a washing on. Just about to go dry and curl my hair, OH will be dropping DS1's friend home, and picking up number 2 from his friends. He will need new shoes before we go out today, as he refused to wear his yesterday as they were pinching his feet. The infuriating thing is that last week we were all out at the shops, and he got new football trainers, and refused the offer of new everyday shoes!! So now we are off to the Christening for 1pm, and need to run past a shop on the way there. I hope I can get his size first shop.
Have a lovely day everyone. Hugs for all the poorlies and worried.

Morning all
happy Birthday Redruby!! Have a fab day
It's beautiful and sunny here again this morning, feels warm through the windows but I doubt it actually is outside!! Yesterday it clouded over and we had spots of rain so I'm hoping it doesn't do that today.
I'm rather tired today, got home just after midnight from my friend's and didn't wake til 9am today. Think I'll have an easy relaxing day today.
Dinner last night at my friend's was lovely. Although I was shocked to see all the dinner was ready prepped/ready meal stuff from supermarket! She had chicken in sauce for 3 people, herby potatoes and veg. She did a stuffed pepper for me (I'm veggie) which was a hollowed out pepper stuffed with a pack of microwave rice! It was all very yummy, but she is someone who always talks about cooking food so I thought she would have actually 'cooked'!! I had a disaster with desert, I made one but the cream curdled so it was ruined so I had to but a cake on the way there! It was lovely to catch up with everyone. We are a group of 4 (3girls and one gay boy) and this was only the second time this year that we have all been together. I normally see at least one of them once a week, but our schedules are so manic it's had nowadays for us all to get together (and none of us even have kids!!)
OS today....DW needs to go on later tonight. I'm going to have a rummage in freezer as I have half a loaf of bread to freeze and need to make space for it so will have something freezer based for tea - probably curry/rice/bahjees as I know they are in there. I also have a pile of things to freecycle/ebay so think I may make a start on those too if the weather does cloud over.
I'm off now to have a cuppa on the balcony in the sun and watch the sea
have a good day all

ETA Jackieo I totally agree with you about the lovely bones.I thought the film was a dumbed down version of the book, and a bit different in parts, but imo films are never as good as books:("You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Happy Birthday Redruby.......have a lovley day.
Morning all...............((((((((((((((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Slept in this morning, OH announced at 11pm last night he had a pain, I had to bite my tongue and enquire where, I think he had too much chocolate and cream yesterday follwed by liver an onions, a dose of gaviscon sorted him out, then when we got into bed he announced he had a dizzy, laid down and went to sleep!!!
I read for a while before I put the light out, it was 9am when I woke up.
Its quite dull outside, not sure what the forecast is, may be it will clear later. Not sure of OH is going to be in the garden today.......no one seems to do much aorund here on a Sunday. The pig managers wife is from Skye, I think she may frown on work on Sunday.....religion pays a big part in island life.
Just enjoying my second cup of coffee.
Rubber chicken tonight, need to sort out a dessert, plenty of fruit in the freezer, may be apple and blackberry pie/crumble.
:(Still nothing from Sky not even am email, will see what tomorrow brings. I really do not want to have to spend the extra money for a box and then go through all the faffing of getting another phone and broadband service. I know a lot of people have talk talk, but from what I understand you have to pay for a new line to be put in, having just paid for an extension for sky we really do not want to have to pay for another line........Sky have till Friday to sort it out before I kick them into touch.
Off to light the fire......its chilly this morning........................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Happy Birthday, Redruby - have a wonderful day!
Bright and sunny here today but with a cold wind. The washing is on the line but I have to keep an eye on it in case it blows away.
Dinner today is roast pork and I've already prepped the veggies.
DH is still plastering the hall and it's looking better and better. The plaster here is different to the stuff we use in the UK. For a start, as it dries it stays white and not that dull pinky colour that always makes the room look so dark. As it's all going to be painted white, it gives an idea of what the finished result will look like. DH reckons the room - including the floor tiles - should be done within the next few days, then it's the major job of altering the kitchen, which I'm dreading but I know will be worth it. We have lots of people coming over at various times of the year, so we need to get the place as welcoming as possible.
Well, off to do some chores.
Hope you all have a great day.
