    I'd recommend running AVG and McAfee together....make a great combination :j

    Well if you run my proposed two you will get no sound, in fact you probably get no picture as well......why has my screen gone wibbly wobbly :eek:

    Surely its only a problem if you actively run scans at the same time? (Having more than 1 av)

    2 programs are effectively scanning 'on the fly' if using any of the free avs in default mode (Avast, Avira, AVG and MSE)
    Then theres the fact many programs can conflict even without scanning

    In really bad (Or should I say unlucky) cases you can even end up with an unbootable computer (usually firewalls though)

    No, like most antivirus software it has real-time scanning, checking each file you open to ensure there are no viruses in it. If you have two antiviruses trying to do that at the same time it is a recipe for disaster
