Use a UK friend's address. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Could you advise what reason Sky have given - Sky do cover ROI, but via a separate site - if you're trying to order from the UK site, this may help.

if there's some other reason, do let us know0 -

Because you can't order Sky UK for a ROI address surely? You have to order Sky ROI, but presumably the OP wants the UK content, not ROI content.
Same reason you can't order Sky from an address in mainland Europe-it's outside the UK.
OP just says 'Ireland', but I assume this means ROI?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Yeah but that's the bit that's confusing me - as far as I was aware ROI Sky packages include UK TV channels such as BBC, Ch4 etc the only exception being itv & ch5 but you can manually tune them in using (other channels menu).
So I'm not sure what someone in Ireland would benefit from having a UK sub?0 -

usually the other way about lol, because sky uk usually block out rte 1/2 programs eg Premier Leauge/ Gaelic Football/ Hurling0 -
Perhaps the op just wants a freesatfromsky card. Of course sky uk wont send a fsfs card to a non uk address and there is no equivilent to fsfs from sky roi, it is subscription or nothing.0

Not exactly the same, I know, but either a Freesat box or a generic satellite receiver could give an EPG/channel line up to the OP's liking.
BTW the £/€ exchange rate seems skewed in $ky's favour when comparing UK and Irish subscriptions. Why does that not surprise me?RIP independent MSE.
