Given that it was in fashion in 2007, Jodhpurs are probably already out of fashion. Edit: although, I did find this reference: http://www.fashionising.com/trends/b--Jodhpurs-as-day-wear-womens-fashion-trend-2447.html .

    Great.

Though to be honest ( you total sod) I wasn't trying to be on trend.

Now that I actually have the bliddy things, and they are beautifully cut and very flattering.

!!!!!! do I wear on my feet?

We will get to the problem of the Jaeger parka thing I bought later

I think the vision of lostinrates riding up to the foodstore, like some sort of modern day cowgirl, is slightly off-beam. :D

She may correct me, of course.

Basically, as far as I can tell it is ok to wear anything on your feet, as long as it is highly impractical for riding horses, and makes your feet hurt for days afterwards.

p.s. anyone who actually takes fashion advice from me is probably an idiot, the last time I was on trend was in 1985, and that was by accident.

There used to be someone who parked a horse and carriage at Waitrose in Cirencester frequently. Thats my ambition fo the future. But out side small shops people are generally happy to bring you stuff to the door so you can hand them in the money. I wish there were more hitching posts, I'd use them. I don't take dogs on main roads when I'm riding, never have done, sometimes back roads, sometimes bridleways, but rarely away from home TBH. Its just risk minimising: and being fair to drivers already not happy to share the roads with ''us''.

I consider road safe horses, whatever their career, VITAL, and used to spend a lot of time with my babies making sure they were as least hazard as possible on roads.

eah, socks, often. Hence my slight alarm at the tescos throwing out a woman they felt undressed as I often leave boots at the door...its stupid to wear them in and make work, but I always forget shoes.

I bought some driving shoes this week, for when I get a nice car again. )

Not a cow girl...I wear a riding hat, and english tack. :) (and less iron mongery on the horse.) western riders do ground tie horses though, which is a GREAT trick, something I really should do, that would solve the hitching post problem. :D

I looked at the Spring2010 fashion thingy. After the riding boot disaster, DD almost had an asthma attack laughing.

The 6ft size 8 models are wearing flat lace ups. Rescue me, someone.

One designer whose name escapes me and who's stuff I will never be able to afford it teaming them with gladiator shoes

    Thoughts please.........
