Use the shower head to run lukewarm water over her eyes. Keep doing it for as long as possible or until it stops hurting. If you don't have a shower, she'll have to submerge the top half of her face in a bowl of water. Remember to keep refilling the bowl with fresh water.

You could try going to an optician / supermarket and getting a can / bottle of sterile saline solution and rinse the eyes with that - plain water is awful for bathing eyes!

Otherwise ask over the counter for some eye drops - there are 'false tear' type ones that I used when I had my eyes lasered - absolute God send!

If the eye is looking inflamed / weepy / infected then maybe another trip to A&E would be in order.

    Good luck!

A lukewarm saline solution, repeated at regular intervals and some painkillers I reckon

eeeek, not nice. Comfort her by telling her it's better than semen, because that is evil :rotfl:

have you got any cucumber? cut a thick slice and get her to hold it onto the eye - failing that a used teabag - cold please not hot! then she really needs to see a doctor!!! ASAP hun. the cucumber and teabag idea are just to give some relief not a cure!
