Has anyone done the Anfield family tour - £38 one..... just wondering what you get to see and how long it lasts ??
Thinking of doing this during the summer while holidaying near blackpool - thought would take the train to Liverpool as dont fancy the drive - though £50 for 2 adults and 3 children...
Thanks.

We done the Anfield tour in October 2008.This was the ground tour and museum tour (not sure of the exact price we paid).
The guided tour consisted of looking around the changing rooms and the media area outside the changing rooms.
All the Liverpool shirts were hanging up in the changing rooms so you could take photo's.
Then you went down the steps to view the pitch, the pitch was roped off. The tour guide then sat you down in the managers seats/ dugout for a talk.
We then walked along the side of the pitch to the Kop for another talk on the history of the Kop.
We missed the start of the tour (only by about 10 minutes) It lasted about an hour.
The museum tour is worth a look, you are free to walk around the museum yourself (No tour guide in the museum)
In total, we spent around 4.5 hours, ground tour, museum, shop and looking around the outside. Well worth it.
We drove in from Blackpool, relying on the sat nav, that's why we were late arriving.
Hope this helps.0 -
why need a sat nav ?????
Walton lane turn left after a blue dump on the right and follow the light .

My boyfriend and I did the Legends tour in August and for £70 for both of us we had a tour of the ground and a chat and a detailed guide from Alan Kennedy a Liverpool legend.
We had over 2 hours with the chat and the anecdotes then looked around the museum.. We had some photos taken with Alan Kennedy which were taken by the grounds official photographer and then he took some with our cameras
It was a fantastic day and I would willingly pay to go on another Legends tourOf all the things I have lost I miss my mind the most£2,960 in debt to RBS paying off at £10 a Fortnight0 -
For anyone interested in football, the museum is amazing ( Yes I am a Liverpool fan, but not being biased here ).
The history of the club, the 5 ( yes FIVE European Cups ) plus all the other silverware is very, very impressive.
This museum is something the likes of ManCity, Chelsea and Arsenal want to reach ( maybe by the year 2050) the heights of ( and something Everton just haven't got a cat in hells chance of reaching before the year 5020 :rotfl:)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Well not as many premierships as you obviously, which means you are miles behind in the old title count then:T
Be decades before you lot wear the 5 stars on your shirts or join the 'elite' that get to keep the cup
Clubs awarded the trophy permanently
Five clubs have kept the actual trophy:Real Madrid after six wins, 1956-60 and 1966. They have since won it three more times, in 1998, 2000, and 2002.
Ajax after their third consecutive win in 1973. They won a fourth in 1995.
Bayern München, after their third consecutive win in 1976. They won a fourth in 2001.
Milan, after their fifth title in 1994. They have since won it twice more, in 2003 and 2007.
Liverpool, after their fifth title in 2005.
