this is the trouble with netto as it seems rough around the edges the one we use in farnborough kent but there are good deals to be had and farnborough is not a rough area the ones that are rude in the shop are the so called posh ones who stand on your shoulder like polly parrots whilst you are in the que which i find rather rude , apart from that the deals are good like lucozade 1and a half ltr for 99p which we got for elderly mum also persil 4.125kg for 4.59

In Corby Netto you get drunk from the alcohol on the breath of the men in the queue beside you.

one of the things i like about aldi & lidl as they always serve you fast. yeah you might have to pack at the area provided but that is why the prices are so good. we always let people go first if they only have one or two items if we have a trolley full and have had the same done to us (makes your day).

wouldn't stand for people skipping - but at least you got some bargains - we don't have netto here.

Our Lidl has been revamped and even gone a bit upmarket with shiny black tarmaced car park (mud + gravel before) and there are more tills open, well they open another when more than about 15 are waiting at each. Aldi often has ques quews cues (*** it, it's too late) to the back of the shop - good 45 mins to pay sometimes.
You just have to build it into the day to get the bargains and remember not to go in your lunch hour.

ps Lidl - Gran Gala Choc Biscuits are brill 500g big box for £1.99

EKKKKK - sorry just realised this is Netto thread, sorry

wow 45 min queues. ours is really fast they always open another till when the queue is too big - plus people are quite considerate and let people go first etc. the speed has a lot todo with the fact they don't allow people to pack at the tills.

Our local Lidl is like this - we've learned not to go on a Saturday afternoon.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.
