yes you could put an orange contract sim into a orange payg phone. you could do it in a tmobile branded handset and it would still work. the only thing is the branding and wap links, take my phone for example, i have a virgin sim in a tmobile handset and i have tmobile wap links which dont work0

You couldn't put it a T-Mobile handset unless it had been previously unlocked.
