USB memory sticks

Why not use your droid to capture your memories forever as holograms? Then set him loose across the universe to spread your history among the stars...

If you're that bothered, get your photos printed out and put them away from direct sunlight.. they'll last a lot longer than your hard disk will.
Also, how are you planning to look at those photos in 20 years time? Do you think those USB sticks will still be readable by the current technology?0 -
I just think you should buy a simple stick with memory of 2Gb or 4Gb. I ended up buying a 100£ stick few years ago. Size was only 1Gb and many will laugh at me for that now.
You can just get a stick for 10£ now and nobody will laugh at you.
Dont hate me for posting this link, but for example here you have a basic USB stick for under 10£ and it does the trick. You can easily search for better deals yourself, this is just an example. That link had a load of different sticks, just see if any of those is the right one for you.

Seems quite sensible - if your running a small business with critical data, i.e. payroll, accounts, off-site storage is a must in my opinion (although I would keep sensitive data away from friends or relatives
).
As for personal data, a USB thumbdrive, backed up to USB harddrive once a month, then backed up again to DVD once a year should be enough. I learned this the hard way when I only had a USB pen drive, then lost everything when it got broke.
I use a Flash Voyager from Corsair - its made of rubber so its quite strong compared the brittle things I've used before.
