I can feel a lump in my breast

Thanks Vikki.
I'm so glad you were brave and went through with it, you see it's not that badd at all is it? You'll be whipping it all out for Playboy before you know it!
Seriously glad you're OK xx0 -
hahahaha thanks Vicki, no it wasn't bad at all, I didn't even think about it.
Yea I am pretty sure its just a cyst (thank god!) will report back what happens!0 -
Update:
So I await contact in the next 2 weeks for a scan. Worrying now a little about the small op as I think I will have it removed if asked again.
I also chose to have a persistant lump removed.
The ones that come and go don't bother me but although I was assured that this one was definitely benign there was always that little nagging "what if" so I had it removed under a local. The scar now is virtually invisible although intially I was quite conscious of it as it was rather conspicuously placed unfortunately.0 -
thanks for the update.
Have you thought that they're just making ABSOLUTELY certain for you, if you're not having it taken out then you might always be wondering 'what if they got it wrong?' in the back of your mind, mightn't you? better to have it checked out just to put your mind at ease.
So, the ultrasound is just a belt and braces check, nothing to worry about, be glad you're getting great service from the NHS, there are plenty people who don't rate it so highly.:)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Vikki, my mum used to get cysts, but she's OK. THey'd check them and there would be nothing to worry about.
My GP looked gobsmacked as I'd had a smear when I was 19 (this was 7 years ago, and my area have done them from 18 onwards) and I do hate having them** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.

update: Friday I went to my local hospital, and you know I kept going on and on about being so shy well I can't believe why I was so silly?
One of the men Doctors felt my chest and then gave me appointment for today to have a scan. I haven't been embarrassed at all with it.
Today I had the scan, which was like an ultrasound and I have about 3 to 4 cysts in there, all hormonal and fine. They are too small to remove, biggest is 2mm. (They do get very big once a month) so pleased its good news

Thank goodness Vikki!!!!

I missed your original posts on this (was on hold I think at that stage), but am so happy that you have had a good outcome.
Now I'm going to go all nagging big sister on you and tell you to book a smear test! I never had one till last year - yep, you guessed it, I was too scared, thought it would be horribly painful etc. Then Jade Goody died and my smear reminder letter arrived the very next day. I was so spooked, and utterly convinced that it was a sign!!! I rang straight away and had it done two weeks later. It wasn't AT ALL painful, a little uncomfortable yes, but absolutely not painful. So please have one done. ETA: and it was all clear!!!!
