strange someone should mention this, i have wondered for a long time if these are in any sequence. we have discovered that every sunday we do a shop of approximately £30-40 and often get no till spits, we had just come back off holiday last week and went on a wednesday when usually iwould be at work, went around 3 o clock and got 2 till spits and a dream lottery ticket. they were 45 extra points for the lloyd grossman sauce valid till 27 aug which is 21days after my visit, and one for 40 points off tesco antibacterial washing up liquid valid only 10 days after my purchase, so maybe it depends what time you visit the store how much you spend and what store you shop at. mine was scunthorpe (north lincolnshire)

For some reason I never get any till spits with my tesco's credit card (built in clubcard) yet if I use my old keyfob I get them straight away, I did a full shop the other day and paid via tesco CC and got none, paid for an item costing £1.91 and got two spits, one for 100points on tampax and a free dream lottery ticket. I will be writing to tesco's as it makes me not want to use my CC in tesco's0

Thanks for the updates everyone, I am back from my hols now and still can't see much of a pattern to the till-spits, from these posts!
While away (New Forest) I shopped mainly at Waitrose (yes they did accept money-off coupons and were very nice about it, unlike Tesco sometimes!).
But yesterday - Sunday - I had to go to my usual Tesco and spent around £40 (£33 net paid after money-off coupons). Got 2 till-spits (100 points for Ariel tablets and 40 points for Sure deodorant). I will go again for a few other bits, today or tomorrow (lets hope for more till-spits).
Interested in the post about till-spits being issued 3 weeks apart. I am still testing part of my original theory that they seem to be issued fortnightly (e.g. if you got some last week you won't get any this week). Due to the break for my hols I will kind of have to start my study again now.....PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am going to start monitoring these till spits as well.
Today I got two using my key fob on a small 6 item shop paid at the 10 items or less till.
100 points on digital processing spend £6(which I used with the 100 points out of the digital mag available at the processing counter).
40 points on the hartleys low sugar jellies buy 2.
Will try tomorrow again with small shop and see what happens.0 -
Yippee got a till spit today - first time in months.
It was for 25 points off domestos - so I shall go buy that and hope to get another till spit.0 -
pwebb1985 wrote:I would imagine it might be because u r a regular shopper. Perhaps till spits are to encourage people who do not shop regularly at tesco, to do so. I may be wrong but know of some people who get alot and dont shop at tesco frequently
I shop there nearly every day in term time  and I get till spits on a sporadic and irregular basis. Today I got 3, but last week I had about 6 or 7. They seem to be for things that I haven't bought for a while.0 -
Today i got 40 extra points when you buy a hallmark card ( i have never bought one and unlikely to either) with a £30 shop.0

Split my shopping into two, one over £10 and one under. Used two different Tesco cards for each. No spits over £10 but under I received the 40points for Hallmark card and 50points for Tesco fabric softener. That seems a good deal as its only about 85p anyway!Saving money right, left and centre0
