I would do it, why not?
It's probably a cheap item.*_*_* Department of Redundancy Department *_*_*0 -
I would do it. I would deffo have a look at feedback and stuff first, but I would do it for a seller like the OP is talking about. Some people wouldn't want to help out a competitor though.
I was checking other items like mine and I noticed that a seller had made a mistake that could cause her probs so I emailed to tell her about it. She was really surprised that I'd done it because we were in competition for bids but I would have felt bad if I didn't, and like Jacks says it's Karma isn't it. What you put out there comes back to you. Like Soolin and Steven say I might need someone to help me out some time.
It's quite surprizing to me that people think it's a scam.0 -
I'm going to go against the grain here.
Nope.
Maybe, if I was asked before, but a note with the payment? No.
They can change their address in paypal if they want it sent there. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

When I was selling DVD's this was/still is common practice, especially amongst those that sell across multiple platforms, ebay/webiste/amazon/play etc.
I probably sent out 50-75 on behalf of other sellers, and in turn I was helped out a fair few times as well.
Let's face it though, a 10000+ eBayer, Business Seller, Power seller, Top Rated Seller, 100% Feedback is not exactly prime candidate for scamming and running are they?
Although I'm keen to understand why some people on here seem to think that they are up to no good.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I have bought items and had them sent to other addresses (when buying gifts for example) with no problems.
As a seller, you receive the funds before posting so what's the problem?Marching On Together

The problem is that for paypal protection you must send to the address that paypal say is OK to send to. Not so important if you don't use tracking, hence the value making a difference to the answers here, but for items where tracking is used then a seller would be foolish to send it to any other address.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Not scamming, but with PP postage it's a real pain to change it around.stevew8975 wrote: »

I might fret about it a little bit, but I would do it. I'd always help anybody out if I could.0

Thanks for replying. I did do it after all. All the reasons I could think of for not doing it were mingey suspicious and cynical, so I decided I would feel like a better person if I did help.
The other seller seems nice and she has left me glowing feedback.
I'm not saying I'd do it for everyone, mind.
