Never come acrossit myself but my mother got pregnant after having her tubes tied so nothing is ever 100%. Are you asking theoretically or are you pregnant and your husband has had the snip ?:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

They test your sperm after one to make sure there is no wrigglys left don't they?
My dad got it done about 2/3 year ago and it took quite a few month before his sample was clear (We have an open family.....lol)
So I guess, you could get pregnant after if he was still making sperm and not using protection.
Not sure what answer you are after really OP!0 -
My boss speaks about one of his friends who's wife fell pregnant many years later(10+ IIRC), they said the tubes grew back together apparently.
I personnaly think she was screwing around.0 -
The majority of women who get pregnant after vasectomy are overwhelmingly caught in the first few months before clearance is given.
The medical advice is that 20-25 ejaculations clear the vas deferens of sperm but from our personal experienceand general net research, it's more like 50 -60.
The chance of late recanalisation of the vas is less than one in two thousand men."There is a light that never goes out"0 -
Just panicing a bit. Hubby had it done over 4 months ago sent off 2 samples but didn't hear back. Not really an issue earlier as not having sex but we've been 'active' past month and now have just received letter saying there are still swimmers present 4 months later. Our fault i know for not using precautions but just wanting statistics (don't know why but i think it will make me feel better!)
I know it only takes 1 swimmer but even if there are swimmers present surely there can't be many? and people with low sperm count generally have trouble getting people pregnant? - don't they?0 -

Men continue "making" sperm after vasectomy, they just get reabsorbed by the body because they have nowhere to go due to the divided tubes.
Sperm are formed in the testicles but then take about a month to mature in the Epididymis.
For the poster about to go under the knife James - about 3-4 weeks after your snip, be prepared for the build up of pressure that is your Epidydimis filling with sperm and expanding , unfortunately lots of sex doesn't relieve the feeling, my DH described it as needing to empty his tubes constantly! It only lasts a few days.;) It's also a great excuse for loads of sex.:)"There is a light that never goes out"0
