Leaving cat for weekend - any advice?

my previous flatmate used to leave her cat for 3-4 days at a time and she was fine. She was happy to see us back though! We just made sure she had plenty of dry food and water. Cats are resiliant creatures!Indecision is the key to flexibility0

Cats are fine left overnight! I haven't risked 2 days because of the amount of pees and poops they do, and I wouldn't fancy coming home to poops and pees on my furniture0

wow, the cat has her own room... is there no friend or neighbour that could look in on her?
Mine have a water fountain, but still like to drink out the taps..
Your right, she'll probably spend most of the time asleep!Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0 -

Btw, I thought you were currently self-employed?
I've always been salaried, most recent contract in the NHS: I prefer that as I can see any client of my choosing, wealthy or flat broke.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I am absoulutey horrified at this thread. I wouldnt dream of leaving an animal for that lenght oftime on its own. But as a cat owner thats just my personal opinion.
I think rather than ask on here you should ask the RSPCA for their opinion.
The RSPCA wouldn't care less to be honest, as long as it's got access to food, water and a litter tray. It takes a hell of a lot more than leaving a cat home alone for 30hrs to ruffle their feathers“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I reckon one of mine would be stroking at the front door if I left her any longer than overnight.
"NO WET FOOD? WHAT IS THIS! IM GOING TO GO AND EAT THROUGH YOUR PHONE CHARGER AGAIN. THEN I WILL EAT THE EARPHONES TOO. WHERE ARE YOU? I DONT EVEN LIKE YOU BUT I CAN SMELL THE TREATS IN THE CUPBOARD AND IM TOO DUMB TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO OPEN IT. OH THERE IS THAT OTHER DOUCHEBAG CAT, WHAT DOES HE WANT? OH NO, HE PUSHED THE DOOR BEHIND ME, NOW IM STUCK IN THE TOILET. MEOOOOOOOWWOOOOOOOW. OOOOOH! A COTTON BUD. NOMNOMNOMOMOMOM"0 -
:rotfl: brilliant. The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.0
