Orange - free (short) email to text

If you have an Orange mobile, you can get a short message sent to your phone, by email for free!
Reason: Orange offer a free email account to customers, and will send a free text notification to your phone when an email arrives. This gives you the first 50 characters of the subject.
So, if the messages are kept short you have a free email-to-sms service. Useful if your friends/partners don't have a mobile or don't like texting, or just want to use email from work/home for free.
Procedure: you have to register with [HTML]www.orange.co.uk[/HTML], and then register again for an email account - yourname@orange.net
Of course, if your ordinary email account allows forwarding, you can forward a copy of all your emails to your Orange address, and get free email notification (just thought of that one!).
Just don't forget to log in and delete all those messages every so often.
