    As always the question is what are you planning on using it for?

    Personally I'd be more inclined to go for the Asus if it's just for general use as it has Windows 7 not Vista.

    +1 for Asus. I would prefer the HP if it had win7 simply being a "better" brand, but won't touch Vista

    Athough HP are a better known brand I'm not sure they're any better than Asus. Asus pretty much invented netbooks and their motherboards are top notch.

    Don't touch vista with a barge pole.
    the ASUS has a markedly better processor
    you probably wouldn;t benefit much from the separate graphics card on a £400 not really for gaming laptop

    if you really want bluetooth later get a USB bluetoooth stub for a few quid

    I'd take the Asus.

    Asus actually make components for other makes including HP.

    +1 for Asus. Very good manufacturer and as Millionaire states they do make components for other major brands. Vista VS Windows 7 is a contest Windows 7 wins hands down.
