will need the model number and what version of the bios you have
you can see this when it boots up and says something like..
pheonix bios v4
or something like that0 -
I didnt say reinstall the drivers i said reinstall (restore) windows , i get this all the time with customers machines , it just sounds like a windows issue , wipe it clean and start again i takes less time than trying to fix it...If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anywaySarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them

For a simpler way to do this, download and run the file upnpoff.reg to disable the PNP services. To restore them to their default states download and run upnpon.reg.
perhaps just plug and play is corruptedEx forum ambassador

this site lists advent computers drivers, you will need to go a bit further and follow their instructions,
However a point to note is whilst in the progress of flashing the BIOS there should be a point where you will be asked if you want to BACKUP your BIOS, I would advise you to take this option, as the last thing you want to happen is that the new BIOS does not take and you are left with an ashtray!.
as ever back up your data before attempting anything like this
best of luck0
