    Evening all!
Had a really good day today - uni tutor came to school to evaluate my teaching and I got glowing reports! Very pleased! He also gave me my last assignment back and I got a first class for it!
My feet are killing me though - wore my fab red shoes for luck and even though they're gorgeous they're not exactly "on your feet all day" shoes.

    Today's little list...
    • Took lunch to work
    • Put petrol in at cheapest garage
    • Walked dog for free exercise
    • Having freezer tea - burgers and chips - not the healthiest but what I fancy!
    • Tidied kitchen
    • Will try to get the ooomph up to write 2 lessons later but have developed Fridayitis!
    • Stay in and watch the soaps and 5 Days (last one tonight, still can't work it out)
    • Write a shopping list for tomorrow
    • Have a look to see what the Aldi F&V specials this week to see if I can tailor a couple of meals around them
That's it for today - having a well earned feet up for an bit!

    AND I FORGOT - it's PAYDAY!!!!!

I walked into town so I could only buy what i could carry.

Got a carton of whole milk, then half'n'halfed it with water as i prefer semi.

Sold a book on Amazon (totally forgot it was listed).

Will be putting my Tesco clubcard points onto e-bay later. If i go in I always spend too much. I have decided the only way to stop it is to shop little and often so now go to the market, butcher, baker etc.

Where have all the greengrocers gone?? I used to love the one in our town.

  • littlekel - hope you're feeling better!! I hate being off work ill - I had done 5 years with no time off and then had to ruin it all last year with 2 days off for a kidney infection! I was gutted but I was the only one who cared so don't worry too much - will have done you lots of good to look after yourself for once!

La Escocesa - yes i'm doing the make 10 pound a day challennge, have done 10 pound in jan and feb and this month i've put down for £20 per day to really push myself. I hate doing overtime and with this challenge I've really made myself... I spend all week longing for the weekend but I know it will be worth it when i'm finally debt free!! Have sold and am selling everything that isn't stuck down in the house!! Thanks so much for the encouragement - its SO nice when someone says your doing well!!

Triangle - Result with the shopping!!! Mums can be so fab!! I moan about mine all the time but she is a star!

Rachel - congrats on the teaching reports - well done!! are you doing primary or secondary?

    Hurrrrrrrahhhh for weeekend!!!!!!!! :rotfl:
since tuesday I've been counting down the sleeps til today!! Got in from work at 8pm and had left over bolognaise for tea ( had it for lunch too!) rather than spend any money or cook anything new. This is the 4th weekend snce I've not been working weekends and I am still excited by the prospect of 2 whole days off!!

Have car shared today so no petrol used for me again today!

Hope everyones having a fab friday night xx

Evening all! I completely forgot to post here this morning, lol! But today I've...

    * eaten lunch at home and taken snacks to work
    * bought 2 litres of milk for 89p (and there was me thinking £1 the other day was a bargain!)
    * talked to lots of people about interview prep
    * bought a shirt for interview for £1 from charity shop :):)

Er, I think that's it :) But the shirt and the milk was all I spent!

Must remember to pop in in the morning, hope everyone's having a lovely Friday night!

    xx
  • Good evening, well had a really strange day and received a letter from work saying that I will be going back to my normal job following covering someone elses leave but now need to make money to clear the debt ive got and start being a dfw!!!!

so now its time to focus, find the energy and positivity and get my head down to sell unwanted bits, save every penny I can and resist the shops unless its for things we really need!!!!!

you all do so well and achieve so much and being on this site will keep me motivated, it has too!!!
