dashes off again!so much to do!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
  • Hi, read this thread daily but never posted on it!

Today I have cycled to work, bought pack lunch (leftover stirfry).
Housemate giving me lift to train station tonight (so no busfare)
Taking a can of pop & snack from cupboard for train journey, plus a library book & my knitting (desperately trying to finish baby blanket for my friend, luckily she's gone over, well not so lucky for her)
Walk from station to mum's or she'll pick me up.
    A NSD too : ) xx
  • Hi, well done everyone today :)

Having a low spend day - only 45p for a can of coke in a minute and possibly £3.00 for my bus home from work if I can't get a lift.
Contacted Specsavers to suspend my lenses so I can order cheaper ones.

Will be in all weekend as my poor OH has mumps and feels awful. At least it will keep me from spending!!

Checked online banking and updated spreadsheet :)

I had the guy sat next to me at work grumbling at the miserly 10% council tax discount his council offered him while he tries to sell his unoccupied house... got him to phone them up and demand a six month exemption pointing out its now unoccupied and unfurnished.

He's now fairly chuffed as I've saved him £130 a month, backdated to mid February :)

In return I coerced him into buying me a kitkat to go with my (free in our office) morning coffee :p

    Morning all
Concentrating heavily on DFW and not on home life...
    This morning I have already:-
    - Cancelled PPI with C1
    - Requested to cancel PPI with Barclays and Egg (awaiting confirmation)
    - Written letters to C1 and Egg to reclaim, to post from work, no stamps! :)
    - Lunch from home, curry I cooked in slow cooker yesterday
    - Take library book back today (didn't yesterday)
    - Transfer enough money into normal account to cover bank charge I incurred last month (grrrr) then use other account
    - Do surveys, I'm up to £9.45 and only been doing it about 3 weeks! :)

Here's a question - I got £3 of luncheon vouchers through from Pinecone that say they can be used in Tesco, can I put them towards my normal shopping? Or do they have to be used on sandwiches or something? May be a silly question but never had them before!

Yes, I've used luncheon vouchers in Tesco towards my weekly shop....ones from Pinecone. Did you know you can change to get cash into your Paypal account from Pinecone instead?
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Oooh I'm feeling all emotional! :o
My mum phoned me earlier, asked if I wanted to do the weekly shop with her. We had a lovely cup of tea in the cafe then did the shop - and at the till, she insisted she pay for my load as well as I'm a poor student! I nearly cried - I love my mum! :j

Quick bite to eat now before off to do work stuff, hope everyone is having a happy Friday :)
