Hyundai i10 vs Fiat panda 1.2 dynamic
I'm torn between these two cars. I need to get myself a new car before the scrappage ends, but have heavy restrictions.
It needs to be an eco car, and I think even emissions of 119g is too much but i'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping its ok.
I'm mainly going to be doing motorway miles, which isn't ideal, but for £6000 and those emissions its the only two cars I can afford.
Anyone test driven them and could tell me what they think? nearest dealers are quite far so i'm going to have to wait before i can test drive myself

The Panda is pretty roomy, the engine very responsive, the ground clearance is good (one of our main reasons for having one) and it performs well in the snow. Quite fun to drive but SWMBO accuses me of ragging it too much when I drive it. In my view a tough wee car.
Hyundai i10 I haven't driven but reports are good and you will get longer warranty.
But being biased I would go for the Panda. Have a look on the What Car websites at the customer reviews section and it will give you a better idea of how they are to live with (discard the odd nutter comments you will find)0 -
Fiat Panda a great fun little car even if the red one looks like postman pats van.0

It would help if Hyundai could keep up with demand though.
4 mths later I'm still waiting for delivery of the one I ordered and I just keep getting fobbed off!
Anyone got a number for Hyundai's MD?0 -

I wouldn't say there is much between the two cars. Personally I like the Fiat range ATM, and indeed I like the Panda, relatives have one- reliability wise no issues and I think the Panda has been fairly good on that score recently.
The i10 and the major concern with it is delivery time. September perhaps.....0 -
I'd vote for the Panda just on looks alone.

You better get a move on I thought the new car had to be registered before 31st March? I thought the i10 is factory order only so more than 3 weeks wait.
Looks like it might be a Panda then.0
