Sitting here threatening tears at the moment, my older cat is not well and I have had to call out the vet in an emergency, I am meeting her at the surgery in half an hour. Yes, it is going to be expensive but I can't leave her in pain and struggling to breath until the morning, the cat is insured but goodness knows if they cover out of hours emergency vet fees but I can't worry about that now.
Why do I get so silly over a cat? I'm not just threatening to cry now, I am now sitting here with tears flowing down my face.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Its not silly, its love. I can't imagine not crying. your insurance should cover the out of hours fees (after the excess). Poor, dear you.0 -
Thanks, we are now back (vets surgery is one minute around the corner). Ti-ah has an absess (sp?) on one of her hind legs, just around the hip area which is causing her a lot of pain (hence the weird breathing) and of course, she is uncomfortable which is the reason why she didn't want to move to get her food or drink. It would also make her feel very ill, another reason why she didn't seem interested in food or water.
She has had an injection of anti inflammatories and another of antibiotics and I have tablets to give her but even in the short time since they have been given to her, she has perked up and immediately went out to her food bowl.
Jazz (my younger cat) is now following her around like a loyal servant and is obviously worried about her.
Now got to get my insurance documents out to see what the excess is but the vet said to hold off claiming for the moment as she may need further treatment.
Phew! Still feel tearful but so much more happier than I was....she is still with us for the moment. We made it! What is the difference? How can I tell?:)
the men grow a long thin stalk. The girls start with a bump. The first flush are normally male and then you get a mix. It's obvious when you have a whole bunch of flowers on the plant.
We ate our first baby courgette this evening as it didn't swell.0 -

We are not entirely sure of her age, she was a rescue cat and when we got her, the rescue home said she was between 1 and 2 years old...so she is either 9 or 10 now.
And they certainly do! She hasn't stopped eating since she got home and is walking around and doing all her usual stuff, it really is amazing..she wouldn't move anywhere or eat anything before I took her up.We made it! Sorry misskool, I think I'm being thick...:o
Are male & female flowers both yellow?
I think I have a number of flowers on each plant, however most flowers haven't opened yet.
Where is the male flowers long thin stalk? In the centre?
Where is the female bump? Is this something I should look for before the flower opens? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Both are yellow
You don't HAVE to look for it but if you see it then you can look forward to it.0
