OK already - I'll try to do it tonight.
Aaargh. What a day.
I did type up a resume of my day then scrapped it to save anyone else the effort of reading it.
Suffice to say, it was !!!!.
That good eh Carol? I hope you finished marking that homework before you opened the Pinot!"If you are going through Hell, keep going" - Winston Churchill0 -
Chance would be a fine thing. Am grabbing a sandwich before going off to help DD2 bake bloody muffins for the effing school cake sale tomorrow, as promised. Just finished an hour of fractions with DD1. I'll be lucky if I get any sodding marking done today at all.
Then have to change the bedding that next-door neighbour's cat pooed on today when it snuck in again, before can get DDs to bed at all...

Oh, one of those days...maybe after baking bloody muffins for the effing school cake sale, you will get a chance to put your feet up. I am just going out for a stroll, which may or may not take me to a pub....:D

I had a nice day:)
Younger one finished his GCSEs and elder one returned home from uni (albeit with scarey haircut). I like it when the chicks are back in the nest and stress free. I think those are the dreams that keep me going at moments like this, silvercar.0

If anyone is interested I just sat down and emitted a sound not dissimilar to a vuvuzela. Quite proud.0

Neat Fairy Liquid springs to mind for the wood. Not sure what an aquadraw mat is.................
PS Does anyone know how to get biro off both a nice piece of light-coloured wood furniture bar sanding it all down and revarnishing it; and off an aquadraw mat?Ellie

Hmmm would I be correct in thinking that the act of you sitting down is related to the sound not dissimilar to a vuvuzela being emitted?:rotfl:
Whichever, I'd like to say a great big thank you for making me laugh in the midst of my tearsIf anyone is interested I just sat down and emitted a sound not dissimilar to a vuvuzela. Quite proud.Ellie

Just catching up after walking the fields, to remove stones before the grass grows back.
I've had a tiring day, but I'm busy thanking the Lord for Postcrete. Said product has enabled me to achieve a row of perfectly aligned bollards, all in the space of an afternoon. These have been placed at a cunning angle to prevent next door's Tesco delivery driver roaring across our newly created car parking area. Personally, I wouldn't mind that much if he did, but DW points out, logically, that they haven't contributed, so he shouldn't. I simply point out that the bollards have set us back over £50 already....
May I disagree with whoever it was who said sensible men marry women older than themselves?.... Thank you.:)
May I also vote against the 'Foxy Men Thread.' To me, that just sounds like blokes who haven't washed under their arms, or anywhere else, for a while. Having dug many holes this pm in 23C, it probably applies to me ATM, but I shall go off and have a shower now. :A
Oh, and is it only me that thinks that as the word 'vuvuzela' has entered our vocabulary, sex education will now be just that little bit more confusing?0
