I have seen an absolutely perfect job.....16 hrs a week at the high school eldest goes to (but will have very few courses at from September for his A levels), school office receptionist.
My qualifications tick the box, the hours are not too excessive which means I should be able to work the appointments around work time and the money, although not the earth, is better than nothing!
And a very big plus, it is only a 5 minute drive (on a good day) from home and closer to the school that the youngest two go to, so if there are problems, I can get there pretty quick.
Now, do I take my current slight lull time with appointments as maybe a positive step forward and go for it?
Don't know why I am asking, I am going for it anyway....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Go for it Sue
and good luck
we have the first female courgette, I can now stop paying extortionate prices for food. Peas looking good and I'm eyeing up broad beans. Now just for the tomatoes and cucumbers to join the lettuce leaves in being ready.0 -
Thanks guys...
The school will know who I am anyway, they see me in there at least once a week either dropping an item off eldest has forgotten or picking up/dropping eldest off from an appointment.
They also know his health difficulties and those of the other boys which does concern me, as they know it has been hectic in the past but (and this is what I am hoping), he now has his diagnosis so the main bulk of the appointments are out of the way and it is now just the supportive physio appointments he attends.
But it has got me excited...maybe, just maybe, I can have some of my life back.We made it! Well Sue, as I am in touch with my horoscopy/spiritual/wannabe buddhist side.......this year is feeeeeeling good to me.
A few loose ends maybe...Pastures is on the cusp of getting something right for her...Miss Kool's new job..everyone else seems to be clicking into position now. CarolT...school place done and a bargain could appear to buy? I am also crossing fingers for LJ's public sector job asd I feel it's important for taxes to pay for this type of role....having had experinence of fodster kids with my neighbours.
All we need is dopestar on this thread to join in and it would be perfect.:D
And Exocet has dug himself out of his grave to come and chat with everyone again. Wecome back EXCT :A0 -

Shie is easily 15 hands (I think) but she measures 14.2.
I dont know what I want to do with her LIR. Auld habits die hard, inevitably you will judge me here, I judge myself.
I am what I came from.
I wrapped her head to box her, which is no big thing. At the other end she came out rearing and I automatically punched her between the eyes. I could type now that we are both victims, it wouldn't be true, I can reason.
I dont know how else to respond.
She is running alone, I can buy a donkey if need be.
LIR she can clear anything. It may be me and the years since I actually made the effort but this horse will face anything.
My Da would have loved her.
I dont know what to do next.
Just let her be or turn her into the ultimate 3 day eventer for daddys 14 yr old.
I could do it
Don't tell WS but she (and others here) has inspired me to do P/T night school writing course.
I do wonder how much her posts are valued at as she get's serious wedge for her writing.:)0
