Eldest is doing philosophy at A level starting September...he actually joked about growing his beard long and stroking it.
As he was clean shaven at the time, he just stroked his chin instead much to the merriment of the philosophy teacher.
See! Proof!:D
Who says stereotypes don't exist...:D
Sue, I hope he enjoys it. It is so different to all the other subjects he has done/will be doing...:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
chickens. For the first time I have left the dozen out unsupervised. Rooster doesn't seem that impressed and one of the cats looks hungry.
The prompt for this decision is the two mothers of tiny one have got him out (SORRY the cat pressed send). If hey can have their teeny tiny baby out my twelve bruisers better learn to cope. Besides, the broody is getting to be a squash!
edit: and yes, the two mothers. we are a liberal household. Sort of. two mothers is acceptable male offspring less so.
I'm thinking of looking at some white egg laying breeds to further my ultimate aim.0 -

My son did philosophy & physics (originally called natural philosophy).
He decided that the result would be one of those "non degrees" (and he was not as much cop at the philosophy bit;)) So he concentrated on Physics.0 -
It's currently a wall of noise in here.....middle son finally got his keyboard today, so he is in the front room playing that, alongside eldest playing music on the laptop!
Managed to pick up a bargain Yamaha PSR170 off Ebay for middle son, took weeks of putting little bits of money by here and there but finally had enough to get a cheapy...even better, they did a best offer option so I put in a cheeky offer and they accepted! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
we ate our first 2 pea pods and first 2 strawberries last night.

How do courgettes grow folks? I'm about to plant mine out (I have 8 plants). Are they climbers? Do I need stakes for them? Or just leave them?
My greenhouse is overfloating! I really need to start making some room in there! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

do you have climbing courgettes? If not they trail. and they grow big.
leave a lotta space between them. You can stake them but mine just flop along their merry way
dig a big hole. (about 2x the size of the pot the courgette is in). Fill with hoss poo or moo poo, cover a bit. pop courgette in, backfill and pat down. Cover with mulch so they don't lose too much water.0 -
