cleaver, my parents once inherited a bathroom in those colours. You are brave. But your flat was beautiful, s I have confidence in either you ability to make it work well, or to admit you were wrong sometime in the future!

I'll stick a photo up when we're done. It's a pretty big hallway, so we think it should be okay. And it will only be 'feature walls' (as I believe they are called) in those colours - the rest will be white and we'll have a load of photos and artwork up. But we do like our bright colours. :)

And if it does look dreadful we will happily change it!

I'm actually starting in the kitchen today once I've had my brekkie and then we're going to do both the kitchen and hall tomorrow together. Mostly white, aside from the big wall in bright red. Should look interesting...

    Happy birthday lir

Sorry its a bit belated.:o Happens when you work evenings and don't find anything out until the next morning.:o

BTW think I can trump you all on age - 43 next birthday.:p

And no, I'm not going to tell you when. I'd rather talk chickens! Much more interesting!:p

I have the coop ready (well, flatpacked - still waiting for some good weather so we can put it together:)) Thinking about either light sussex hens or wyandottes - can't make my mind up. Theres a place up the road where I can get hold of some good bantams, so I know what I want - it's just the weather!!! This bliddy rain has really been getting me down. I wanna get into the garden and start doing things <wails>. But everythings like mud soup at the moment.:( If I didn't know better I'd think a herd of cows had been through my garden. Bliddy hell nearly Easter and the daffs are only just starting to come out.:( So depressing.
SMILE....they will wonder what you are up to...........;)

Sounds nice. Have a lovely meal on Thursday or something. I'm off work from now until Friday next week and Mrs C is off on Thursday too. We're going to do some decorating, which I always really enjoy for some reason. Radio on, cups of tea, it always seems to be raining and we just chat away whilst painting. Funny how stuff like that can be fun and you actually look forward to it.

Can we ask how old? ;)

I've had a bit of a wierd start to the year.
Planted a load of seeds, & waited ages for signs of life.

Got bored, so I'm starting the decorating thing now...

Starting with kitchen, then going to do hall & staircase, then bedrooms.

Ever get the feeling you've bitten off more than you can chew?;)

Oh, & belated birthday jelly greets to you lir burp.gif

Yep! I've got all the paint here ready to do my kitchen, 2 bedrooms, ceilings throughout and downstairs hallway.

Have so far managed to get one block of hallway done and that is it!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

carolt, do your parents still live in Orpington? I have a friend interested in moving to that area but I don't know too much about it. Do they like living there? Good schools? etc?

Um...never been to Orpington in my life. I suspect you're confusing me with someone - NDG, maybe? I think she was from round that way...ish?

Sorry not to be more help. :)

Its crazy; always too wet or too dry! I'm gutted, I planted up our pots b the front door and it looks like I was far too early and they might perish in the frosts. and all my lovely outdoor lanterns smashed in the wind:(

I love bantams, but have never kept them, I live the millefleur ones with trousers, and some of those feisty little Japanese fellas...I knew a really dear and hilarious tiny Japanese cockerel...he would have made a cute indoor bird, so tiny!..I can't remember ones lay lavender eggs? I don't want to get another coop set up here.....but when me move I'll get some little birds. And quail, I really want quail, and guinea fowl. In fact if I go into commercial poultry its unlikely to be chinckens...they are just for us really. I'll see how my little hybrids work out.

Both your choices are dual purpose breeds in 'big' chickens. why choose? Get a couple of each...its nice to have a mixture. the wyandottes have brown eggs and the light sussex are paler, so get birds in difference colour to easily tell them apart, and often you'll know who has laid what. Its handy to know with little or no investigation who isn't laying so you can check to make sure they are ok...and for record keeping.

i almost set up an incubator this morning for those eggs, but decided there is plenty of time yet...I might do it at the weekend....I'll see. I'm not sure I want to commit to egg turning....I might forget and not turn or over turn :o

    Lavender eggs?

Cool - I'd pay more for lavender eggs, and I suspect others would too. Why aren't they available at Waitrose or something? I've never even seen one for sale.

Bet you'd do a roaring trade around Valentine's Day. :)
