sss555s lightweight? Its only the second time I had a drink in three months ish! So I should hope I'm a lightweight! Its one of the weird things no idea whether its health or age but if I tried to drink what I used to I think I'd end up in hospital and I was never a particularly heavy drinker...
It wasn't aimed at you Lir as you had your bloke there and it was more surprising you were on at all
I'm the same and can't drink anything like i could when i was younger.
1 bottle of wine is plenty for me :A0 -
i'm with lir, it's all about the bags. One can never have too many bags. Unfortunately, the ones I really really want are the ones I can't afford (well, technically I could but I have better things to do with my money).
I always have earrings but it's because I have a ring at the top of one ear and a bar on the other one. Sometimes, I wear ones on the earlobes. Ring and maybe bangles when I go out for the evening. Can't abide necklaces, choking little things.0 -

That said I have a stinking little head cold atm so not feeling either energetic or much like smooching....need to breathe through my mouth.0 -
Bags and shoes are just functional to me.
I wear earrings and necklace for work and frequently for non-work days too. I find bracelets too annoying, and don't really get on with rings either (apart from my wedding and engagement rings which I used to wear when married but don't now).
I look better with makeup and wear it when I can be bothered, which I haven't been since the accident.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Same for me too Lydia...I have one bag, one pair of shoes and one pair of trainers. I wear no rings, ear rings about once a year and a necklace about twice a year.
I wear make up rarely....but I do tend to put it on if I am going to the school for meetings.
Anyway, I think I need to get a keyboard (as in music, not computer) for my middle son. For the last few weeks, he has been using an online keyboard to play songs (he listens to a song and just does it on the PC keyboard) but a pc keyboard and a real keyboard are two completely different things.
Today we were looking around Toys R Us and of course, they have real keyboards so middle son decided to have a go.....and he did it straight away! The Entertainer, Intro to an Evanescence song, Beverly Hills cops music, outro to a Faith No more song.
And there was us thinking he was a drummer......We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I can't recall the last time I had a drink.
If it wasn't for extremely rare occasions, I could, conscience free, describe myself as teetotal!
Regarding the children debate, I have to force myself not to laugh at them when they have hissy fits. If they ever scream the child abuse thing at me, I give em 10p & remind them of the childline number.
Realising they'd have to go through with their threat, & would then seem extremely silly often sorts them out.
They tend to remain a bit grumpy with me though...But we're at least able to talk about it after. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Very wise lir..... keeps the wrinkles at bay and helps protect the eyesight into older age.0 -
Sue, as a keyboard player of many years standing, if you would like a bit of help in choosing a keyboard I would be keen to help.0
