Afraid no glamourous life here.....just had middle son screaming at me because I won't buy him a new game for his Wii. I have tried to explain to him that money doesn't grow on trees and that at £30, it is way out of my budget but he has got it into his head that I am being unfair. Mind you, he has been very volatile since his admission to hospital and liable to fly off the handle at the drop of a hat.

Meanwhile, youngest was trying to hang something up on the wall and managed to bring a cardboard box thing down on his head, catching his eye..so I had one screaming at me in anger and one screaming at me in pain.

Youngest is ok by the way, he may have a lovely shiner in the morning but hopefully the ice pack he is now sporting will help things.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

If the coven did meet up, maybe it should be at the place at the end of this list:

I have a good one tonight, I'm on a bit of a high...it doesn't start well.got a bit of a cold and a stye coming, got dressed up in a funny outfit (I often dress up friday nights for DH) and went to the supermarket. , I was the most dressed up person in the supermarket, but not unusual (and no wageslave, not posh/ all detailed on the fashion what wearing to day thread, main feature was a necklace as a hair band,)

    now it gets good..

some one flirted with me. Flirting is SO MUCH BETTER when you are a bit chubby and older....because it feels so gooooood, and when you have a cold and a stye and some guy is following you around truing to find a way to initiate conversation is really good fun!..makes you feel really good.

then dh came in (supermarket is near train station, I was running late, and found me by the tinned fruit -I made him a tinned raspberry athel brose for supper, no fresh raspberries and supper was scotch broth, so wanted something scottish) and we had an outrageous snog in public. The supermarket ladies cheered. I felt a bit grubby, this is england after all, and it was a posh supermarket.... but then we did it again. :o:D

What a lovely story but why are you still on here when OH is home? ;)

Sounds gorgeous. V exciting and unlike my life (certainly the dressing-up for the supermarket bit; I actually got the train into London with OH today so unusually got to snog him on the train again. Much fun. :))

How do you make raspberry athel brose, lir?

It's a good name. Plus we always have frozen raspberries in (for making muffins and smoothies with) - can I use those?

Oooh lir, sounds wonderful. I never get that at my local Tescos - I'm more likely to be followed around by the store detective. Maybe I need to get him indoors some raspberries.

    Its my favourite pudding...

raspberries ina glass, then toast under the grill ''some'' porridge oats I put a sprinkling of golden caster suger in mine. don' forget them, they toast quickly, especially because of the sugar, and you'll need to move them about a bit

meanwhile, whip some cream, add some honey to taste and a good glug of whiskey..and anther, and..another. You can fold the oats into the cream, but I layer the cream over the raspberries, then the porridge oats, not crispy and just caramelized from the sugar, in a thick layer over top, like crumble.

I had some rachel's raspberry yogurt )% fat. Hardly as exciting, eh?

Thanks, lir. Do you think it would work without the whisky? I don't like it, OH doesn't like it and the kids certainly wouldn't like it...

What do you think? The hot caramalised oats sound nice, though. Bit like crumble but easier. Does it work cold, too?

The point is the whiskey.really, but I suppose it could ...I just can't imagine not liking the whiskey , especially with honey and cream.....

the oats should really b cold, but I'm never organised enough to make them in advance..its a cold pudding really.
