    Theres nothing wrong with using the free anti virus software, ive used microsoft essentials, avira, avast and not had any problems, you just need to be careful. In answer to the OP's question id use avria, avast or microsoft essentials,

    I'd definitely go with Microsoft Security Essentials.

    As always, though, the best antivirus tool is a bit of basic common sense on the part of the user.
