Another Wescot Victim!!

I have now received 2 calls from this Firm Wescott credit not about myself BUT about neighbours.... they have twice rang and asked if someone or other who lives a few doors away is still residing at the address they give. I have now made a formal complaint about them (although have had no reply) doing this. The first neighbour they were asking about is 96 and an old lady living alone (although she has now been taken into a nursing home) and the other old lady is now dead. I am disgusted that they can actually do this and phone neighbours in the hope and desperation of tracking someone down.

I told them both times that I thought they were in beach of data protection and also I would certainly not give ANY information out of this type about my neighbours.

There are a lot on here who take the high ground. Probably haven't got a bean to rub together and go around in a 1970's capri. They really need to help a bit more and not judge.

The help I received stems back before CAG and MSE, and was by a great QC who used to post on a newsgroup. He hated banks with a passion (not as much as me though) and he taught me a great deal. I know you try and help a lot out also. Shame some try and spoil it!!

Just received a reply from the CSA uk about my complaint about Wescott and have to make a formal complaint using their online complaints form. Here is their reply about them calling ME about neighbours address's, names...

Dear Ms

Apologies for not responding to you earlier, we don’t appear to have received a hard copy of your complaint or your e-mail.

I note the comments in your e-mail and I am sorry to learn of your recent experience with one of our members. If you wish to make a formal complaint against our member, please find information attached.
